Avisa Nila, Tarkarli
Avisa Nila is at the confluence of the River Karli and the Arabian Sea, opens on the pristine white beach and adjacent is the Karli River.
The sand is transparent and the water is blue. The sea bed upto 20 feet can be seen clearly on a sunny day. The area is fit for scuba and snorkeling. Beautiful corals can be found here. Devbag sangam is also one of the snorkeling sites near Tarkarli. The sea is calm and a cruise on the boat whether on the river or at sea is pleasurable. Dolphins are also natives of this part of the sea. It is also the protected region for turtles.
It is 500 k.m. away from Mumbai, 6 kms. south of Malvan, on the west coast of India. One can reach by air to the nearest airport Goa and drive down to the resort. You can also take the train and get off at Kudal, Sindhudurg or Kankawali which are a ½ hour drive. Or you can simply drive down to the resort.

There are two ways from Mumbai, in the first one just take the Mumbai Goa highway (NH 17) and get off at Kankawali towards Kasal, Malwan and then ahead to Tarkali, alternately via Kolhapur – Ratanagari – Dajipur.
